This year-round program gives students the confidence to use a sewing machine and stimulates creativity. The students will learn essential skills to make all projects, sewing machine operation and safety, sewing, hand sewing techniques, pinning, cutting, marking, and pattern use. We play on the safety sewing machine. It's such an easy machine to introduce kids get it!

The wonderful part about sewing for kids is teaching them about patience, achievement, and problem-solving.
 
Projects include contemporary fibre art, pillows, pencil case, tote, zipper bag, placemat, apron, mason jar pincushion storage, lap quilt, handy reading pillow, up-cycled denim, denim aprons, repurposing old sweaters into slippers and mittens, denim art, dolls, textile jewellery and much more.

Sewing supplies should be provide in advance of the first class.
